Audrey is a chatterbox. She talks from sun up to sun down. Even while I'm brushing her teeth. I am so, so very grateful for this but sometimes I need a bit of quiet. Or, as Grandma S would say with 5 of us at home, "I just want some peace and quiet!"

Yesterday at lunch, Audrey announced that she would like a bit of quiet. Unfortunately for her, Ian decided that it was his turn to talk so he got in trouble from his big sister for not following her lead.

Tonight at dinner, Eric asked for two minutes of silence. I relayed to Eric that Audrey had shared his sentiment yesterday, so I thought perhaps our little chatterbox could oblige. She wanted to chat though so it didn't work out so well. Eric made a second request, to which Audrey replied:

I don't talk all the time.

(Eric and I couldn't help but laugh.)

I mean, I don't talk when I'm sleeping.

Love our little chatterbox.

Look what I found when Eric was due to arrive home...

Audrey got to see Ian get his haircut this past weekend and overheard Eric, Wendy, and I talking about how much older Ian looked with his new 'do.

The next day, she started to come downstairs with a set of her small wooden blocks. We keep these upstairs primarily since they are too small for Ian right now.

Eric saw her on her way down with the blocks, and asked that she keep them upstairs since Ian was too little for the blocks, to which Audrey replied:

"But, I thought Ian was older after yesterday."

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This was the first year that Audrey had an opinion of what was an acceptable outfit for St. Patrick's Day. She finally approved, and then wore a PURPLE sweatshirt all day over her new shirt.

I do so appreciate how easy it is to get pictures of her these days though.

Where do you want me? Say cheese! Can you take my picture?

She had a fun day at school where a pesky leprechaun kept engaging in shenanigans over the course of the day. The kids never did catch the leprechaun, but I hear he'll be back next year!

"Mommy, do you have your Uncle Patrick shirt?"

:)

We're looking forward to St. Patrick's Day around here.
